An easy recipe that is basically flop proof.
Easy for the rugby lads to do this one.
200g butter / margarine
4 extra-large eggs
350g cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C, grease and line a 22cm ring pan / Bundt pan
Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy
Add the eggs one by one beating well after each addition
Add the beer and beat for 2 min
Fold in the dry ingredients, mix gently
Spoon into pan and bake for 45 min or until golden
Cool in pan for 10 min before turning out on wire rack to cool completely
Decorate with cream cheese icing
Hmmmm the way to with something lekker in the hand still going with a beer.
