Biscuit Mix Premix
Baking biscuits made easy. Use our wonderful premix (tested and tried).
RECIPE: BISCUIT MIX 1kg
METHOD: Place all the ingredients in bowl of electric mixer, blend together on slow speed until a soft dough forms. Shape into 2 x logs of 30mm thick, refrigerate for 1 hour or freeze until needed. Cut into 10mm thick slices with a sharp knife, place on a greased baking tray, stand 10 min to get to room temperature then bake in a hot oven 200ºC for about 12 min or until golden.
VARIATIONS: CHOC CHIP BISCUIT –
add 1 cup choc chips to dough, spoon tablespoons of the mixture onto prepared baking sheet, flatten slightly, bake until golden
cashew nuts (use½ cup of each),
dried apricots and almonds,
choc-hazelnut (add 100g melted dark choc to dough before shaping, roll log in finely chopped hazelnuts before refrigerating)
